This week there is no school in Haiti, as the schools pause for their spring (Easter) break. Pray for the message of Jesus to be boldly proclaimed and demonstrated by His followers, and that it would be humbly and joyfully received by all who hear it.

This week we remember how Jesus joined us in our humanity, shared with us in our death that we might be set free from the power of sin and death: “Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil — and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.” Hebrews 2:14-16).

We all need this good news, but Haiti in particular is a country which has lived under the fear of the shadow of death. May the light of Jesus’s life shine forth this week in Haiti in new and surprising ways!
